Key West psychedelic rockers AstroYeti return with the high-energy, vibrant, and strikingly joyous new single ‘I Prefer Their Early Stuff’ (released March 7th, Conch Town Records).

A blend of psychedelic rock, blues, and roots elements, the track is a bright and dynamic return for the trio that both matches the spacey, quirky energy of their debut EP Disastro Spaghetti while bringing a fresh sense of energy and flair. Running through melodic vocals and up-tempo, punching drums, the track features a series of instrumental breaks with harmonica, organ swells, and fiery guitar solos all splashed across a short and punchy 2 minutes and 41 seconds.

Speaking about the single, the band explains: “‘I knew them way back when, before they blew up and sold out. Back when they were cool!’ We all know someone who talks about a band like this. We ALL probably talk about a band like this! I’m guilty for sure.

This song is about that phenomenon. I feel waves of that emotion whenever I see a kid in a Sublime or Nirvana tee these days. Aren’t they allowed to have their throwback retro moment? It’s probably the mixture of nostalgia and age that brews that negativity up. When those kids are my age and see a kid with a King Gizzard shirt on, they’ll think ‘Yeah right, sport, you weren’t there, you don’t know!’ And so the wheel keeps spinning…”

Describing themselves as “a secret society of Space-Caper solving time crime fighters,” AstroYeti continue to solidify their place as one of the most exciting and unpredictable bands in modern psychedelic rock. Their trippy, surf-tinged cosmic grooves and high-energy performances have already gained them radio play across the UK and US, with support from The Sound Lab, Total Rock Radio, and more. With over 500k Spotify streams and an ever-growing following, AstroYeti keep proving that their vibrant, fun-loving musical universe is only expanding.
