Reflecting on the creation of ‘Attention,’ LION explains, ‘I wrote this song during a phase in my life where I craved external validation to the point of losing touch with myself. I wanted to capture the progression of someone who experiences a breakdown because they neglect their own soul. However, I approached it with a campy, catchy, and chaotic style. We often develop distractions and coping mechanisms to avoid confronting ourselves, even when it’s painful.’
