BRITISH IDM supremo Max Cooper has announced he is staging another of his immersive, enveloping audio-visual shows – this time at the legendary Camden Roundhouse.

After his critically praised previous event at the capital’s Barbican last year, Yearning For The Infinite, in which he delivered “the experience of drowning in the sea of information, using data-mapping techniques to create a multi-surface projection, to which he composes a soundtrack in real time”, it’s the historic north-of-the-river former railway engine shed that will form the ampitheatre for OUR VOID on April 30th, 2021.

Max considers the Roundhouse the ideal space for his next immersive stunner; for which he will be “installing wraparound technology and semi-transparent screens”, ready to “engulf us in a night of club-ready music set to hypnotic optics, using the most advanced techniques in the field.”

He says: “OUR VOID is an opportunity for long-term fans to experience Cooper’s full body of work against the backdrop of this stunning building, which previously hosted landmark cultural moments with luminaries such as Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie.

“Ranging from twinkling electronica to knife-edge techno, Max will bring his vast archive, plus some new material he’s been working on in the studio.”

Tickets for OUR VOID go on sale tomorrow, September 1st. Sign-up is essential for access to pre-sale tickets: visit www.lwe.events/void

Max’s latest release, the Earth EP, is available now; read our review here.
