Melbourne’s wildest export, Amyl and The Sniffers, are set to ignite Fed Square this Friday, 14 November, with a free, one-night-only outdoor gig that promises nothing but sweat, chaos, and pure rock’n’roll energy.

Straight off the stage from their first performance supporting AC/DC on their POWER UP Australian tour, the band are returning home to deliver a surprise show in the heart of Melbourne — announced just 48 hours before go time. Expect breakneck riffs, flailing hair, and Amy Taylor leading the charge with the same fearless intensity that’s made her one of the most electrifying frontwomen on the planet.

Formed in a Melbourne share house in 2016, the quartet — Amy Taylor, Bryce Wilson, Dec Mehrtens, and Gus Romer— have evolved from backyard punks to global rock icons. Their latest record, Cartoon Darkness, has picked up major awards including Best Live Act and Best LP at the Rolling Stone Australia Awards, while their reputation for blistering live shows has seen them storm stages from Glastonbury to Coachella.

Kicking off the night are rising pop-rock outfit Public Figures, the powerhouse duo of Evie Vlah and Gigi Argiro, who will warm the crowd with a mix of AC/DC classics and their own fiery originals.

“Amyl and The Sniffers are one of Australia’s most explosive live acts,” said Katrina Sedgwick OAM, CEO of MAP Co. “Fearless, magnetic, and completely unmissable — High Voltage continues Fed Square’s tradition of bringing world-class, free live music to the heart of Melbourne.”

Following a massive year of open-air shows featuring King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, and Robbie Williams, High Voltage cements Melbourne’s place as the beating heart of Australian rock.

Event: High Voltage featuring Amyl and The Sniffers
Date: Friday 14 November 2025
Time: 7.30pm–9.30pm
Venue: Fed Square Main Stage
Support: Public Figures
Presented by: Fed Square, City of Melbourne and Double J
Free / All Ages
