New Zealand pop sensation BENEE has just announced her first world tour since the pandemic struck, with forty shows scheduled in the northern hemisphere (Europe and the UK in April-May and North America in June) well as new and rescheduled shows on her New Zealand tour in February-March, followed by her return to Australia – for the first time in over two years.

The 21-year-old artist broke through with the track ‘Supalonely’, the four billion streaming single from her second EP. We reviewed her single ‘Happen to Me’ back on April, finding it to be an atmospheric, moody single with BENEE’s voice a soothing and yearning presence over the sparse instrumentation.

BENEE’s excitement at touring is clearly evident as she says:

I am beyond excited to announce that my 2022 WORLD TOUR KICKS OFF IN NZ in Feb next year!!!!!!!! “It’s been such a long time coming & we’ve lived through a lot in these weird times but shows starting up again has really got everyone sososososo happyyy!!!! I can’t wait to get back out there & meet all of u and play a bunch of new musiiiiiicccc!!

I AM SO READY TO TOUR!! Doing shows with my band is the best thing and I have missed it so badly this year. Waiting, rescheduling, waiting again has been incredibly difficult.

Tickets for the Australian leg go on sale on Friday, 26 November 2021 through Live Nation – all tickets and details can be found here. Keep an eye for details of the northern hemisphere gigs.

In the meantime, have a listen below to the absolutely delicious new single ‘Doesn’t Matter’ – an atmospheric and delicate delight that drips with melancholia and sweet refrains, available to download and stream here. BENNEE’s voice is exquisite: delicate and velvet-touched over an indelible melody and with a mesmerising aura.
