Singular Artists proudly reveals the complete line-up* for this year’s Wider Than Pictures – a series of exceptional shows taking place at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks this August 21st – 27th.

Wider Than Pictures kicks off on Mon 21st August with sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg of First Aid Kit bringing their harmonious mix of folk, breezy Americana and contemplative pop to Collins Barracks. The Swedish duo, nominated twice for the BRIT Awards, will be joined by special guests Nick Mulvey and Billie Marten. This event is sold out.

On Wed 23rd August, YUNGBLUD brings his explosion of alternative rock, poetry, guitar-hooks and break-beats to Dublin. In September 2022, YUNGBLUD released his hotly awaited third-studio self-titled album, which reached No. 1 in the UK album chart on week of release, kickstarting his greatest era yet. One of the UK’s hottest exports, YUNGBLUD will be joined by a line-up of special guests to be announced.

Thu 24th August sees Baltimore foursome Future Islands, fronted by captivating, genre-defying frontman Sam T. Herring, take to the stage to channel art’s great power to spread love and hope by way of incredibly hooky synthpop tunes like their massive viral hit, ‘Seasons’. An incredible all-Irish couplet of special guests complete the line-up in the form of experimental indie-rockers Just Mustard and garage punk favourites, Sprints.

After two breath-taking headline performances at Dublin’s 3Arena and SSE Arena last year, The Vamps are set to make a special one-time outdoor appearance in Dublin on Fri 25th August. Brad Simpson, Connor Ball, Tristan Evans, and James McVey have released eight top 40 hits, including five top 10s, and embarked on world tours, making them the first band to headline London’s O2 Arena for five consecutive years, with a sixth O2 headline in 2022. Completing this sensational pop line-up are special guests New Hope Club and modernlove.

Multi-platinum selling Cork artist Mick Flannery is often cited as one of Ireland’s most gifted songwriters. Mick has released eight studio albums, three of which have reached No.1. His latest, In The Game, a collaboration with Susan O’Neill, was the biggest independent selling record in Ireland in 2021. He will be joined by celebrated folk artist Susan O’Neill and Grammy-nominated artist, poet, illustrator and actor Valerie June to complete this spectacular line-up on Sat 26th August.

losing out an incredible week of the most exciting global and Irish music are Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand, whose 2004 hit ‘Take Me Out’ brought them global stardom and cemented their place in the indie rock hall of fame. Fresh off the back of their ‘Hits To The Head’ world tour featuring a 20 track greatest hits collection showcasing the world-conquering success of the band’s career to date; Franz Ferdinand play Collins Barracks on Sun 27th August. Joining Franz Ferdinand are special guests, the phenomenal Dublin rock band Pillow Queens and high energy post-punk outfit Really Good Time, who will provide exactly that and probably go one further.

Irish based concert photographer, maybe! ever so slightly addicted to gigs. Listens mostly to alternative / goth / folk punk / punk / ska. I blame the 80s.
