News: The Pearl Harts release dynamic and reflective new single ‘Comin’ Down’ on Fri 8th Sept and announce London headline date on 6th Dec at The Social

SE London rock duo – THE PEARL HARTS – have unleashed ‘Comin’ Down’, the final single to be taken from their recently released second album ‘Love, Chaos’

”Comin’ Down” sees retro-rock flourishes and a riotous no-holds-barred attitude prickling amongst raw rock’n’roll guitars and melodic punk sensibilities. The end result makes for a record that sounds like the warped lovechild of Bikini Kill, The Stooges and Tony Visconti, funnelled via the N.E.R.D school of production.

In Sara’s words ‘it was a reflective time – the song just came out so quickly and easily. I had had a lot of changes in life over a few years and then my Grandmas passing was a catalyst for some change. I remember going out for a friends birthday – we stayed out late and I was on a friends’ floor, a little drunk from the night and having an imaginary conversation with my Grandma. It felt like a release – in that moment I felt like the party was over for me, but it was also a symbol for loss – to the end of a party of a loved ones life – if that makes sense? I feel like when you hit a rock bottom, you have no choice but to look up and find away out of the hole. That’s what Comin’ Down is about – it’s about falling down but getting back up and finding a new way to live.’

Irish based concert photographer, maybe! ever so slightly addicted to gigs. Listens mostly to alternative / goth / folk punk / punk / ska. I blame the 80s.
