Trench Dogs release the song ”Maroon”, the second single from their upcoming album ’Stockholmiana‘ which is to be released on March 3, 2023
Ice cold “Maroon” comes from a place of self destruction and the grief and mourning that follow. With haunting melodic instrumental breaks and choking vocals, “Maroon” takes the listener on a steep lyrical nose dive into personal decline.
The song is a bombastic track with big backing vocal harmonies as well as a lead guitar riff with an eriee almost ghostly feel that along with the lyrical theme shrouds the song in a dark atmosphere.
The accompanying music video is reflective of this atmosphere. The video features the band playing in what can only be described as ”the void”. Along side this we get to follow a portrayal of someone plagued by personal loss and mourning.
Stockholmiana is a groovy rock n’ roll album with songs that spans the human emotional spectrum and explore the tragedy and bliss of our strange existence.
The band expands on elements from the last album and the result is a record that mixes speedy rock n’ roll bangers with bombastic mid-tempo tracks that are big in all the right places and raw where they should be. Big backing vocals and drums complement melodic guitar riffs while still hitting hard with the energetic, boozy and unpolished attitude that has become the trademark of the band.
