PREMIERE: ERRORR go for the throat on savage debut album taster ‘Sixxx’

No messing around here: Berlin trio ERRORR‘s new song is a beast. If fired-up noise rock is your thing, you should keep an eye on this lot. The first song to be taken from the band’s forthcoming debut album, ‘Sixxx’ is built around a needling riff that gives the listener about eight seconds to brace themselves before all hell breaks loose. No quarter given, no punches pulled. Sound good? Want to listen to it right now? Of course you do.

Band leader Leonard Kaage (also a member of the Underground Youth and an associate of the Brian Jonestown Massacre and Holy Motors) says of the song: “Sometimes, I write a song and I can’t fully grasp what it is about until long after it is done. I wrote  ‘Sixxx’ during the time when Donald Trump’s presidency finally ended and the storming of the White House happened. The song isn’t necessarily about him or about this specific incident, but about the absurdness of the situation. From my perspective as a European citizen, I have witnessed Trump’s presidential career as a YouTube ‘best of capitalist system fails’ montage. I was expecting the former president to go from the White House directly to jail and still he spoke about the situation as if he was the winner. I thought it was a funny twist to write it as if it was a song about something hot and sexual, but actually it’s about watching a horrible political leader go down… which can be pretty hot.”

Tune in below – ahead of its release tomorrow, we’ve got your first listen. ERRORR’s debut album is due later in the year via Anomic Records – there’s your warning. Prepare yourself accordingly, because it’s shaping up to be huge.
