Taken from their ‘Retroshade’ album, which dropped on March 5th, Boston electro-pop band This Bliss have returned with a new video for the track Give Me More, and we’re delighted to be able to premiere it right here on Backseat Mafia today.
Built on electro pop roots with a nod towards trip-hop, GIve Me More has this stuttering, skittish accompaniment, and resolutely melodic nature, with echoing vocals and this bubbling percussion. Throw in brushes of guitar and some wiry synth lines, and you have a winner on your hands.
Of the track, Jess Baggia from the band explains “This is our second single spotlight from our new LP, Retroshade. ‘Give Me More’ sets the tone of the album as the perfect bridge to connect our past releases to our brand new material. It’s electronic, it’s pop, it’s rock — and it’s got a lot of attitude. Meanwhile the track introduces key astrology themes that are woven throughout the album’s lyrical and visual content.
