Scrambled Eggs//The Lovely Eggs Tour Comes To Manchester for The Queens Jubilee

The much delayed (a staggering seven times) and rescheduled tour, originally intended to promote the release in April 2020 of their ‘I Am Moron’ album. Now, they can finally return to the stage in full force, with a string of live shows set to take place in May/June 2022, ending at O2 Ritz Manchester on Friday 3rd June.

The Lovely Eggs will be joined by two support acts that complement the band’s own eclectic and out-there sound. First up is Arch Femmesis — an art-punk electro duo plucked from Nottingham’s queer underground scene who blend brooding basslines with psychosensual poetry, and whose live show has been likened to “meeting Grace Jones in the most devastating mood whilst on some seriously nasty trip.” Secondly, ‘the prince of profanity’ Thick Richard, who blends jet-black comedy with break-neck lyrical mayhem and has been dubbed “rattling and brilliant” by Kae Tempest and “Stu-fu#king-pendous” by John Cooper Clarke. The line-up is completed by the excellent The Bug Club. I’ve seen all 3 recently and they’re well worth getting their early for.

The remaining tour dates are:

May 2022

Sat 28th The Mash House, Edinburgh SOLD OUT

Sun 29th The Crescent, York

Mon 30th Sub Rooms, Stroud

Tues 31st Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff
