Ahead of their record store release ‘Pick me Up’, Liverpool four piece Clean Cut Kid have released the b-side ‘In your eyes’. It comes on the back of their two previous singles ‘Vitamin C’ and ‘Runaway’, and sees the band poised to go across and play SXSW, having sold out their forthcoming headline dates, which includes a visit to London’s iconic 100 club on March 23rd.
In your eyes gently rolls over these wiry guitar lines, but there’s something intrinsically soulful about it. The vocals, growling and life-soaked contrast against the more angelic backing vocals as things roll and shiver as it heads towards some kind of heady pop climax, only to shy away and leave you wanting more. Which, if you flip the limited 7″ on record store (and thereafter) you’ll get.
