Known principally as one half of The Kills, but also moonlighting as Baby Ruthless of The Dead Weather, Alison Mosshart is stepping into the limelight has herself, with ‘Rise’, the first solo single of her career.
Written for the FacebookWatch drama Sacred Lies, Rise this dark, frayed slice of garage/indie rock. It has this delightfully fitful, pensive feel about it, but these ghoulish melodies adorn the track, with its incessant, almost angular backing.
