Singer, rapper and storyteller Biig Piig has some very powerful fans – support from the BBC aside, current musician du jour Billie Eilish counts herself as a vocal supporter.

It’s easy to see why, as the Cork-born, Spanish raised musician has amassed quite the support ever since the release of No Place For Patience, Vol. 3 and subsequent sell out shows across Europe.

“Switch” channels elements of punk, drum & bass and the fluidity of modern pop. Amidst its cathartic chaos is are tender vocals as Biig Piig regales her confessional lyrics to the listener.

“[It’s] about the tension, helplessness and pressure that the world is under right now. The beat and lyrics to me represents the fast pace of how the world is falling apart, and the anxious undertone of it all” she explains – in fitting with her quiet wisdom and the brutally frank way she discusses/dissects millenial life for her generation

It’s led to BBC’s Annie Mac to earmark it as Annie Mac’s current “Hottest Records In The World.”

“Switch” is out now through RCA and available through all good digital retailers.

I write words that sometimes make sense and other times don't. But perhaps in either case that will evoke some form of emotion about what I am writing. Or maybe not.
