Sunny Luwe has released her new single It Won’t Be Long Til I See You Again, a soulful, feel-good anthem arriving ahead of her sophomore album Feeling Good, due October 10. The track blends pop, soul and country into a warm, cathartic sound that balances optimism with quiet reflection.

Stream it HERE.

Written with long-time partner and collaborator Matt Collins (WHARVES) and co-produced with Collins and Scott French (Love Street Studios, SELVE), the song was completed in just three hours in the studio. Its lush melodies and anthemic choruses nod to the glam of T. Rex and the 1990s alt-pop of New Radicals’ You Get What You Give.

Beneath the brightness, the song carries weight: Sunny began writing it after a close friend lost her brother to suicide, channelling grief into something hopeful.

“I wrote this with my partner Matt after my best friend lost her brother. This song is about loss and grief, but also about hope, love, and friendship,” Sunny shares. “I wanted to create something that feels like a reminder — even when it’s dark, there’s still a brighter day waiting.”

Already recognised with a BaySounds Song Comp award — where judges called it “perfect pop” live on air — the single sets the tone for her forthcoming album cycle.

Sunny will mark the album’s release with special appearances, including supporting Nai Palm at The Beach Hotel (Sept 21), presenting at GC Music Network’s BandCamp (Oct 3), hosting an album listening party and acoustic gig at Wild Flower Gin Distillery (Oct 10), and a live-on-air launch on 4ZZZ (Oct 11).
