Joey Gutos shares the breezy, whimsical new single ‘Sand To Snow,’ offering an enchanting blend of elegant musicality and radiant optimism.

Using it’s warming mix of folk elements with a full indie band sound and cinematic production, the track’s alluring composition creates a calming sonic space for Joey’s smokey, silky lead vocals to glide elegantly. Gradually evolving from the acoustic guitar and violin at the start into a rich soundscape as warming bass, plucky electric guitar lines, punchy drums and reverb soaked piano enter the track creates a captivating melodic blend as comparable to Local Natives as is it to Sufjan Stevens.

On the track, Joey shares:

“Sand To Snow is a romantic story expressed through the eyes of a wandering soul who’s finally ready to surrender to Love’s peaks and valleys, from sand to snow. Parts of the song were composed nearly fifteen years ago that remained in the archives for the right burst of inspiration. The song was completed in the midst of a quarter life crisis when all the shimmering lights on the horizon found themselves contained within two eyes of gold.”

Hailing from Tempe, Arizona, Joey Gutos is known for bending genres and infusing his songs with irresistible energy, offering a refreshing take on indie pop. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of artists, from modern icons like Mac Demarco, Glass Animals, and Dominic Fike to the classics of Motown, 60’s Psychedelia, and Blues/Folk, Gutos creates a unique and unforgettable musical experience.

Joey Gutos’ captivating stage presence has earned him opportunities to perform at nationally recognized venues, such as Crescent Ballroom, Valley Bar, and Rebel Lounge. He has also graced the main stage at the prestigious Ostrich Festival for two consecutive years, solidifying his position as one to watch.

‘Sand To Snow’ is a gorgeous example of Joey Gutos’ work and gives a lot of promise for upcoming releases.
