Following the release of the debut EP Soften, New Jersey-based neo-soul rising star CTLN returns with a luminous new single, ‘Atlas’.
A rich and romantic blend of jazz influenced guitar with percussive beats and elegant layered vocals, the track gradually builds introducing a warming, deep bass as the vocals soar with elegant and woozy elegance. Weaving silky R&B textures with emotive, soul-rooted storytelling, ‘Atlas’ is a velvety and dreamy effort that blends inventive ideas with commercial melodies to create a track which perfectly balances CTLN’s approach to writing.
Speaking on the release, CTLN shares: “I wrote this record with, for, and about my lover as an ode to our love planet, Atlas, where we can be alone and fully immersed in each other’s souls <3”
CTLN (pronounced Caitlin) captures an honesty, vulnerability, and self-awareness on ‘Atlas’ that gives the song a relatability whilst retaining the ethereal atmosphere that makes the track so otherworldly and transportive.
