“Phenomenal Handclap Band” have recently released “Do What You Like”, yet another teaser from their subsequent album later this month. The track follows a smattering of releases throughout the past two years, with their last album of original material back in 2012. The band’s 2009 debut record soon solidified their reputation for masterfully concocting genres into single statements, with synth-wizardry and soul among them.
“Do What You Like” remains to their genre blending, simply more focused, with much heavier disco leanings. The synthesisers are dominant here too, and are bouncy and effervescent. The blissful scat style vocals virtually beg for repeated listens.
