After a 4 year wait American punk rockers Rise Against have returned with their new album ‘Nowhere Generation’ due 4th June via Loma Vista. Aling with the news the band have also shared the video for the title track.
Regarding the track Tim McIlrath:
“Today there is the promise of the American Dream, and then there is the reality of the American Dream. America’s ‘historical norm’ that the next generation will be better off than the one that came before has been diminished by an era of mass social, economic, and political instability and a sell-out of the Middle Class. The brass ring that was promised by hard work and dedication no longer exists for everyone. When the privileged climb the ladder of success and then burn it from the top, disruption becomes the only answer.”
With the catchy lyrical phrasing that Mcllrath does so well. The track slowly unfolds into a bouncey beat filled classic that will go down a storm on the live stage. A catchy repetitive chorus begging for a crowd to sing back with a unity that only music can inspire. The guys still manage to pack their music with heartfelt social justice. These guys are doing what they do best, penning great tracks with important themes rolled up with catchy American rock hooks.
