Dry Cleaning continued their spring tour and sold out The Button Factory venue in the heart of Dublin City promoting their highly acclaimed debut album “New Long Leg”

Lead singer Florence Shaw was far from looking like an “Unsmart Lady” as she arrived on stage wearing what looked like a red silky pajama bottoms and t-shirt with matching red slippers which certainly caught the eye but more importantly the bands opening song “Leafy” quickly caught the crowds attention with her softly ‘spoken-word’ laid back style and quirky wording.

Flanked by the energetic lead guitarist Tom Dowse and the hypnotic bass lines provided by the just as vibrant Lewis Maynard and all aligned with the sweet tempo of percussionist Nick Buxton beat .

They belted out fans favourites through this impressive set such as “Magic of Meghan” ”Unsmart Lady” and “Scratchyard Lynard” to which they finished on . But they now excited crowd wanted more and they duly obliged with an epic ten minute version of the aptly named “Conversation” given their spoken word style , from their “Sweet Princess” EP which was met with wild and rapturous applause come the end , a bow and a wave from the band as they exited the stage on what was a memorable night from these post-punk new wave Londoners , catch them if you can , you won’t be disappointed.
