News: British collective Black Country, New Road announce new Australia + NZ tour

Black Country, New Road

Black Country, New Road have announced their return to Australia and New Zealand next year, marking another chapter in their quietly evolving story.

The British collective arrive off the back of Forever Howlong, their most recent album for Ninja Tune. Released earlier this year, the record signals a striking shift—songwriting and vocal duties now rotated among members, resulting in a sound built on shared voices, warm arrangements and even the occasional recorder solo. The Guardian called it “a gentler, more bucolic direction,” and its reception has opened new doors for the group.

Backseat Mafia last caught them at the Sydney Opera House during their previous visit, a night that showcased the band’s growing reputation for theatrical, emotionally layered performances. With Forever Howlong, that sense of community and reinvention has only deepened.

Now, Australian and New Zealand audiences will get a chance to experience this latest phase live—a series of shows that promise the intimacy, experimentation and collective spirit that have come to define Black Country, New Road.
