Gloucestershire-based artist Luzzey Shares the mesmerising new single, “Toxic Affection.” An infectious blend of warming electronic production, afro beats and R&B-pop melodies, the track showcases a commercial appeal and a depthy musical understanding.

The track boasts a beautifully smooth melody, accentuated by an enchanting, etherial vocal sample. Luzzey’s razor-sharp drums effortlessly cut through the music, injecting a vibrant bounce and infectious rhythm. As the bass joins the instrumental arrangement, it infuses a relaxed energy into the composition, casting a syrupy tone that is irresistible.

Luzzey’s captivating vocal performance not only sets bodies in motion but also keeps listeners completely engrossed throughout the track. Just when you think you’ve experienced the full extent of his artistry, the song concludes with a mesmerizing saxophone solo, leaving us yearning for more.

Reflecting on the release, Luzzey expresses his excitement, stating, “I’m very excited about this record; it just feels like a real vibe and, as a close friend said, ‘a breath of fresh air.'” The process of creating “Toxic Affection” was a remarkably organic and seamless one. Luzzey reveals that he produced the music in his kitchen, while enjoying the company of his friend DC over spiced rum and apple juice. What began as a casual hangout quickly transformed into a creative session, with the two artists delving into their experiences and the complexities of modern-day dating. Luzzey sheds light on the game of “Toxic Affection,” where everyone strives to maintain the upper hand, resulting in a dynamic and sometimes volatile romantic landscape.

Born in Guyana, Luzzey’s early life was deeply influenced by the rich sounds of The Americas and The Islands. Upon moving to the UK during his adolescent years, he was introduced to new musical influences that expanded his sonic palette. Luzzey’s artistic development has been shaped by his surroundings and life experiences, allowing him to embrace his diverse cultural heritage fully.

Luzzey has already made his mark on the music scene, having shared main stages with prominent artists such as AJ Tracey, Kojo Funds, Dappy, Ghetts, and Lotto Boyz. Notably, he also headlined a sold-out show in his current base of Gloucestershire. With his unwavering dedication to songwriting, production, and the exploration of new sounds, Luzzey is now focused on crafting his debut project. This ambitious undertaking aims to encapsulate his personal diversity, offering fans an intimate glimpse into his unique artistic vision.

As anticipation builds for his forthcoming project, Luzzey continues to captivate audiences with his distinctive sound and narrative. The artist’s unwavering commitment to his craft, coupled with his rich cultural tapestry, ensures that the future holds even more exciting developments for Luzzey and his ever-growing fan base.
