With Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia announcing that it was taking a break this year, there has been left a gaping hole in most people’s calender. Manchester’s Astral Elevator however have stepped up and announced that they are hosting a one-off, two day event at Night People, famous for its history as the The Twisted Wheel Club.
Last week saw the annoucement of the full line-up which boasts 42 bands from across the globe, channelling the best of the best that modern psychedelia has to offer. We see huge names in the form of Americans Holy Wave, Lumerians and The Blank Tapes, who are joined by UK heavyweights The Oscillation, Mugstar and Black Market Karma. There are delights from across Europe and spanning the psychedelic genre such as Berliners Camera who are more krautrock than psych and will be a welcome addition to those of this persuasion.
