We are very honoured to provide exclusive access to the new single ‘Alone’ from rising star Sarah Yagki. ‘Alone’ is pure sonic drama with a thrilling cinematic instrumentation that is expressive and bold. Yagki’s voice sweeps with passion and urgency, majestic above the musical maelstrom and embellished with an anthemic melody and rousing chorus.

The emotion bleeds through every note with operatic proportions. Yagki says of the track:

‘Alone’ is about confronting the darkest parts of your mind, with the parts that hold the most hope. It’s about the duality of both wanting to keep pushing on when things get hard, and letting yourself go into your lowest state. Depending on the listener, ‘Alone’ acts both as a song that tries to find hope, and also a song that accepts that you are falling without a willingness to get back up.

This results in something quite cathartic and stirring.

The accompanying video directed and edited by Max Pasalic (BESTIES) embraces the theatricality of the music – Yagki’s impassioned and expressive performance is explosive and immersive:

‘Alone’ is out tomorrow (Friday, 5 May 2023) and will be available to stream and download here – check out this link for this and previous works. You can catch Yagki live launching the single on the following dates:

Fri 11 May | Hamilton Station, Mulubinba/Newcastle NSW
Fri 19 May | Towradgi Beach Hotel, Warrang/Wollongong NSW
