We’re becoming almost the official Mindset channel here on Backseat Mafia, having premiered his previous two singles ‘Breakfast in Bed’ and ‘I still use Ur netflix’, but the Colombia, South Carolina native makes such a catchy brand of soulful/funky hip-hop, we can’t ignore, so we’re delighted to premiere his latest release – Purple Açai.
Named after the Purple berry, the track is built on this swooning guitar riff, with added beats and electronic hue for effect, over which Mindset lays down his equally dreamy rhymes, as he prods and pushes his ideas and observations, adding this soulful chorus to the mix.
