Taken from their long-awaited new album ‘For Their Love’, which drops on April 24th via Play it Again Sam, Other Lives have revealed a video for their new single Hey Hey I.
It’s a pulsating slice of indie rock, playing this sort of Editors meet Primal Scream thing to perfection. Dark melodies surround this repetitive piano figure, before soulful backing vocals and brass draw you into this singalong chorus. Oh, and love the castanets.
Of the monochrome, Ryan Reichenfeld directed video, frontman Jesse Tabish explains; “The video is a reflection of the recording process of the album, that took place in the A-frame in the woods,” before adding; “we wanted to portray this process in a natural, organic way, without telling a story but rather showing glimpses of us working together as well as coming together with friends.”
