Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor’s has revealed his forthcoming solo album Beautiful Thing (produced by Tim Goldsworthy) is due for release on April 20th via Domino. The album is certainly a very personal, individualised reflection of a life that has changed greatly since Alexis first started out in the industry. Having worked with major pop stars and legendary improvisers, playing huge arenas and tiny clubs, Taylor has never stopped listening and learning. This lifelong experience has been put to work to create an album that is subtle and elusive, yet profound and emotive.

Alexis has shared the title track ‘Beautiful Thing’, which combines experimental samples with a disco/house momentum that creates something wonderful. Alexis has announced a run of UK and European tour dates, accompanied by Susumu Mukai (aka Zongamin) on bass and Leo Taylor (Hot Chip) on drums.

New Album Beautiful Thing is Released April 20th 2018
