Track: Blvd Of Eyes Confront the Rise of AI on Fierce New Single ‘We Are Human’

Blvd Of Eyes follow up last month’s ‘Razor Steps’ with the release of ‘We Are Human’, the new single from their forthcoming debut EP We Are Humans, due November 21 via XMusic. Opening with vocalist Chloe Trujillo’s ethereal tones before erupting into a lumbering, riff-heavy surge, the track blends raw power with a message of defiance.

The band describe ‘We Are Human’ as “a driving, anthemic track built around the core message that the creative imperfections, emotional grit, and tangible effort of humanity are irreplaceable, even as AI integration dominates the world.” Rather than a dystopian warning, the single celebrates the messy beauty of human expression — a theme that resonates deeply in an increasingly digital age.

Formed in 2021, Blvd Of Eyes is fronted by Chloe Trujillo — artist, musician, and wife of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo — alongside co-founder Mark Dalbeth, the New Zealand-born multi-instrumentalist formerly of Bellusira. The lineup is completed by guitarist Kevin Hicklin (3 by Design, Weapons of Anew) and drummer Lullah Trujillo, Chloe’s daughter.

With their mix of rap, metal, blues and gypsy influences, Blvd Of Eyes have carved a sound that is both intricate and direct. Following the release of ‘Razor Steps’, the band will bring their explosive live show to Australia this November, including sets at HeavyFest in Brisbane and Sydney, plus metro and regional dates across the east coast.
