Alternative rockers Bugeye share the infectious and vibrant new single ‘Signs & Exits’, a beguiling, intense and deceptively catching mix of fuzzy guitar lines, sawing synths and punching drums. The tracks cutting, coating led vocals give the track a central hook with a delivering comparable to Pulp’s ‘Common People’ with a splash of 80s glam rock for good measure.
Thematically tackling online and school bullying, lead vocalist Angela Martin explains: “It’s about the transition of innocence into the world of school – a battleground where the rules change daily and the warmth, kindness and protection you once knew are stripped away.”
Accompanied by a fittingly dramatic, Laura Jean Marsh directed, Lord of the Flies-esque music video, the tracks theme is hinted at with a striking visual to match the tracks explosive energy.
