US alt-rockers The Midway release their latest single ‘Tidal Wave’, a high-octane yet warming and subtly complex offering showcasing the bands mature writing and tight musicality.
Comparable to the likes of Green Day, Foo Fighters, and Weezer, the band balance heavy overdriven guitars with larger than life drum sound, syncopated beats and angst ridden vocals to create a track with both commercial appeal and explosive moments of musical expression.
Easy to imagine playing to a stadium full of adoring fans, the tracks soaring guitar riffs, infectious vocal lines and pleasingly and unexpectedly jarring drum beat result in an interesting yet energetic and head-bangable listen.
