Ignorecam is the new track from Allentown, Pa. post-hardcore quartet Pissed Jeans, and is taken from their forthcoming fifth album Why Love Now, out on February 24th via Sub Pop.
According to frontman Matt Korvette, the track is a twist on the idea of fetish cam shows ”where the woman just ignores you and watches TV or eats macaroni and cheese or talks on the phone. I love that idea of guys paying to be ignored,” he comments.
The track itself is primal and muscular, and batters your senses into submission with its unrelenting maelstrom of noise – twisted guitars and brooding basslines propelled by pounding drums, to which Korvette barks his gutteral thoughts and orders. It’s a rush.
