Gregory Alan Isakov is a renowned folk singer-songwriter, celebrated for his deeply emotive and introspective music. Born in South Africa and raised in Philadelphia, Isakov later moved to Colorado, where the vast landscapes influenced his lyrically rich and ambient folk style. He is known for his poetic, often introspective lyrics, and his music often reflects a deep connection to nature and a sense of wanderlust. Isakov’s sound is characterized by a blend of acoustic guitar, banjo, and other traditional folk instruments, combined with a subtle, yet impactful use of orchestration, creating a unique and captivating sonic experience.
Isakov’s current tour is in support of his recently released sixth studio album, ‘Appaloosa Bones’ which was produced by Isakov and Andrew Berlin (Descendents, Rise Against) and recorded at Isakov’s farm studio outside of Boulder, Colorado.
The new album marks Isakov’s return to the music scene, following the release of his critically acclaimed album, ‘Evening Machines’ (nominated for a Grammy award for Best Folk Album) in 2019.
