Cut Copy have announced a return to Sydney’s Enmore Theatre for a headline performance in March 2026, as part of a limited run of Australian dates. The Sydney show sits alongside appearances at Byron Bay’s Beach Hotel, Melbourne’s Live at the Gardens series at the Royal Botanic Gardens, and an appearance at Golden Plains Festival.
Originally formed as a bedroom recording project by Dan Whitford before expanding into a full band with guitarist Tim Hoey, drummer Mitchell Scott and bassist Ben Browning, Cut Copy have built a catalogue that has endured across more than two decades. Their discography now spans six studio albums, alongside numerous remixes and collaborative projects that have consistently shaped Australian electronic music.
The band’s breakthrough album In Ghost Colours (2008), featuring tracks such as “Lights & Music” and “Hearts on Fire”, received nominations for ARIA Awards’ Best Dance/Electronic Album and Album of the Year at the J Awards. Its follow-up, Zonoscope (2011), debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album, won Best Dance Release at the ARIA Awards, and was later named among the best albums of both 2008 and the 2000s by Pitchfork. Their most recent release prior to Moments, 2020’s Freeze, Melt, marked a further refinement of their sound while maintaining the band’s long-standing creative identity.
DJ culture and curatorial work have remained central to Cut Copy’s output, from their widely regarded FabricLive.29 mix to the Melbourne-focused dance compilation Oceans Apart. Across their career, the band have performed more than 1,000 headline shows worldwide and appeared at major festivals including Coachella, Ultra and Lollapalooza in the US, Primavera Sound in Spain, Pitchfork Music Festival Paris, Summer Sonic in Japan, and Big Day Out in Australia. Their music has also featured extensively across film, television, gaming and commercial platforms, with placements including FIFA 18, Netflix, Amazon, Dolby, Chevrolet and Levi’s® campaigns.
The upcoming tour will celebrate the band’s 2025 album Moments, released in September to strong critical reception. The album was named Double J Feature Album, Triple R’s Album of the Week, #35 in ABC’s Best Albums of 2025, and #18 on KCRW’s Top Albums of 2025 list. Drawing from early hip hop and electro, proto-house, punk disco and synth pop, Moments presents a cohesive, reflective body of work focused on movement, uncertainty and everyday experience.
The Enmore Theatre performance will be supported by Melbourne-based producer, keyboardist and bandleader Harvey Sutherland, alongside the atmospheric electronic project Drifting Clouds.
Tickets for the Enmore Theatre show go on sale at 9:00am AEDT on Friday, 9 January.
