News: Laneway Festival heads to the Gold Coast for the first time in a decade

Laneway 2026

Laneway Festival is on the move for 2026, bringing with it a string of fresh venues and long-overdue changes. After more than ten years of calling Brisbane home, the festival will relocate to the Gold Coast, setting up shop at Southport Sharks. The switch comes as the Brisbane site makes way for development ahead of the 2032 Olympics.

Adelaide also gets an upgrade, shifting into the Showgrounds, while Perth will now take place at Arena Joondalup — both offering expanded spaces to host bigger crowds and bolder line-ups. The full 2026 bill is set to drop this Thursday, September 18 at 8:10am AEST, and all eyes are on who’ll lead the charge.
