News: The Memos Share New Single ‘Born Again’ Ahead Of New EP

Liverpool indie-rock trio The Memos continue their upward trajectory with the release of their latest single, ‘Born Again’, a punchy and heartfelt offering from their upcoming EP Futures Ours to Find. Out today, the track blends emotionally-charged lyricism with infectious indie-rock hooks, reinforcing the band’s growing reputation as one of the North West’s most compelling emerging acts.

Following recent collaborations with Kyle Falconer (The View) and Justin Hawkins (The Darkness), Born Again marks a confident return for the three-piece. Brimming with themes of resilience, redemption, and personal empowerment, the single captures a pivotal moment in the band’s evolution—sonically and emotionally.

“This song is about remembering the power you’ve always had, even when life makes you forget it,” the band said in a statement. “It’s that moment of realisation that you’re stronger than you thought — when you take back control and start again.”

Frontman Aaron Spencer delivers those sentiments with unflinching honesty, his vocals soaring over tight rhythms and anthemic guitar work. San Francisco-born guitarist Zak Langford-Do adds a crisp, transatlantic sheen to the band’s sound, while bassist Gary Robertson’s driving lines provide a firm foundation for their dynamic arrangements. The result is a track that balances the polish of mainstream rock with the raw energy of a band well-acquainted with grassroots gigging.

Produced by Ben Harper (noted for work with The MysterinesThe Zutons, and The Sherlocks) at Liverpool’s iconic Motor Museum studio, Born Again offers a first glimpse at the more mature, expansive sound The Memos are set to unveil in their forthcoming EP. Futures Ours to Find promises to explore new thematic and musical territory for the band, who have cited personal growth and artistic risk-taking as central to its creation.

Airplay from SiriusXM has begun to propel the band onto a national and international radar, drawing early comparisons to established names such as Sam Fender and Catfish and the Bottlemen. That momentum is mirrored on stage, with a recent landmark performance at The Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington drawing a crowd of over 10,000.

As the release of Futures Ours to Find nears, The Memos are building a feverish sense of momentum. Listen to the new single below:
