Backseat Downunder is stoked to exclusively premiere The Colliflowers‘ brand-new music video today for their latest sun-kissed single, ‘Let Me Go’. Comprising Gary Collocott on lead vocals and guitar, Nelson Ludeke on lead guitar, Rachael Goddard on drums, and Alex Pereira on bass, The Colliflowers have been making waves with their catchy tunes and high-energy performances. Now, they’re here to offer you a visual treat that perfectly complements the groovy vibes of ‘Let Me Go’.

The music video release follows the recent launch of their single, which has been described as an anti-bummer track, an ode to escaping the confines of the daily mundane. If you’re into guitar riffs, surf rock, indie vibes, solid drum beats, and anthemic lyrics, this song is set to be your new summer anthem. It’s like Byron Bay personified, providing the ultimate soundtrack for those sunny, carefree days by the beach with your mates. Collaborating within the local scene, the band joined forces with Steve Law from Southern Cross University to create the track, while the renowned Australian engineer Jack Nigro took charge of mixing, and mastering duties were expertly handled by Matthew Grey.

The music video seamlessly weaves between the band’s electrifying live performance of ‘Let Me Go’ and a series of adventures that will leave you with a severe case of FOMO. It captures the best moments of friendship and love between the band, serving as an inspiring blueprint for how to spend the summer of 2023.

In their own words, The Colliflowers express, “The music video aimed to mirror the message of ‘Let Me Go’ and show our lives and personalities authentically without any acting for the cameras. We think it’s important for fans to know that who we are on stage is who we are day-to-day, and hopefully, they can really connect with that. The music video is a bit of a highlight reel composed of the last couple of months for everyone to enjoy while they listen to the new tune.“

The Colliflowers have been on a roll with a series of successful shows across New South Wales and Queensland, and they are currently in the midst of their largest tour to date, alongside Australian talents DICE. With performances at festivals like Spaced Out Festival, Gold Coast & Byron Music Festival, CREEKFEST, and more, The Colliflowers have been setting the East Coast on fire. They are now poised to take their hype nationwide with the release of ‘Let Me Go’. Their music has already garnered over 100,000 streams and found substantial support on TikTok thanks to their enthusiastic presence and wholesome vibes.

Don’t miss your chance to catch The Colliflowers live during their current tour with DICE:

Fri 10th November: Lion Arts Factory, Adelaide, SA

Sat 25th and Sun 26th November: Indi Bar, Perth, WA

Get ready to embark on a journey with The Colliflowers and let the infectious melodies of ‘Let Me Go’ and their captivating music video transport you to the sun-soaked Australian coast. It’s a promise of great music, fun adventures, and everlasting memories.

Music Video: Directed by The Colliflowers, Rachael Goddard, Alex Pereira, Nelson Ludeke and Gary Collocott. Filmed by Keely Baker & The Colliflowers and edited by Rachael Goddard.
