News: KNOTFEST 2025: SLIPKNOT Leads the Charge for a Sonic Storm Across Australia

KNOTFEST isn’t just a festival—it’s an altar where metalheads gather, a high-voltage ritual where noise and catharsis collide. Curated by SLIPKNOT, it’s the kind of cultural phenomenon that doesn’t just roll into town; it storms through, leaving a trail of broken strings, shredded throats, and exorcised demons in its wake. And in 2025, Australia is bracing for impact once again.

This is no one-stop tour. It’s a full-on pilgrimage, hitting Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on Friday, February 28th, before unleashing chaos at the Brisbane Showgrounds on Sunday, March 2nd, and finally detonating at Sydney’s Centennial Park on Saturday, March 8th. The East Coast won’t know what hit it.

At the heart of it all: SLIPKNOT, the masters of beautiful mayhem, bringing the primal energy and ritualistic power that’s become synonymous with the KNOTFEST brand.

The lineup hits as hard as the riffs. A DAY TO REMEMBER brings melodic hardcore singalongs that’ll have the pits swelling. BABYMETAL blends kawaii pop with thrash fury in a way that still feels like pure sorcery. SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL promises breakdowns so heavy they’ll rattle your ribs. Polaris—Australia’s own torchbearers of metalcore—will remind the home crowd exactly where they belong in the global scene.

Add to that the ethereal grandeur of WITHIN TEMPTATION, the anarchic frenzy of ENTER SHIKARI, and HATEBREED’s gut-punching hardcore, and you’ve got a sonic playground built for the disenchanted and devoted alike. From HEALTH’s industrial freak-outs to MISS MAY I’s relentless drive, VENDED’s gritty new wave sound, and SUNAMI’s raw intensity—every corner of heavy music is represented here.

KNOTFEST AUSTRALIA 2025 DATES AND VENUES:

Friday 28 February 2025 – Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne
Sunday 2 March 2025 – Brisbane Showground, Brisbane
Saturday 8 March 2025 – Centennial Park, Sydney
