Sydney-based electronic artist Emma Bass has released her new single ‘Sweet Dejavu’. The track continues to sharpen a sound that sits comfortably between club culture and vocal-led songwriting.
Built around deep UK garage basslines and crisp two-step percussion, ‘Sweet Dejavu’ explores the tension between closeness and distance, capturing a moment of intensity that’s fleeting by nature. Bass’ vocals sit front and centre, equal parts punchy and restrained, grounding the track’s rolling low end in a sense of emotional immediacy.
Bass has steadily built a reputation for blending UK Garage, house and tech influences into sets that prioritise groove without losing intimacy. Her live performances combine underground club textures with her own vocals, creating a dynamic that shifts easily between dancefloor energy and more personal moments.
A collaboration with Nemo on Be Rich Records previously saw Bass break into the ARIA Club Chart, followed by a national tour across Australia and appearances at venues including HQ Adelaide. More recently, her work with US bass collective Lit Lords has begun drawing attention beyond local scenes, signalling a broader international reach.
‘Sweet Dejavu’ is self-produced and is available now across all major streaming platforms.
