These New South Whales have announced a run of Australian headline shows from March through to May, marking their first national tour since the release of their fourth studio album GODSPEED.

Band pre-sale tickets are available now via Discord, Patreon and Bandsintown, with general tickets on sale Tuesday 20 January at 11:00am AEDT via tnsw.co/tour.

The tour follows the release of GODSPEED, which debuted at #4 on the ARIA Australian Album Charts and #9 on the ARIA Vinyl Charts. The record has drawn attention both locally and overseas, earning coverage from outlets including triple j, Rolling Stone ANZ, Kerrang!, CLASH and The Line of Best Fit. It captures a sharper, more confrontational turn for the band, pairing political unease with a renewed sense of intent.

Produced by Ben Greenberg (Depeche Mode, Drab Majesty, Show Me The Body), GODSPEED represents a clear shift from the band’s previous work. Where earlier releases often leaned into chaos and excess, this record is more focused, driven by instinct and refusal rather than spectacle. Vocalist Jamie Timony’s opening declaration, “The choice is yours / Godspeed,” sets the tone early, framing the album as both challenge and statement.

These New South Whales’ reputation has been built on the road. From relentless touring to last year’s live podcast tour celebrating 500 episodes of What A Great Punk, the band have consistently treated live performance as a core part of their identity. The upcoming tour begins on March 19 at Solbar in Maroochydore, before moving through 17 regional and capital city dates across the country.

As GODSPEED lands in a moment defined by uncertainty and frustration, the album’s meaning is deliberately rooted in the present. It resists easy answers, instead leaning on immediacy and personal agency. For These New South Whales, this tour is less about victory laps and more about testing the songs where they matter most: in crowded rooms, night after night.
