Courteeners will headline Rock N Roll Circus in Sheffield this summer, with The Vaccines and The Lathums joining the Manchester indie favourites for a huge night at Don Valley Bowl on Saturday 28 August.

Fresh from a new album and nationwide tour, Liam Fray and co will bring their God Bless The Band era to the Steel City for their only Sheffield show of 2027, following a brilliant performance at Tramlines last year.

Expect a mass singalong beneath the spectacular Rock N Roll Circus Big Top, as the band behind indie anthems including Not Nineteen Forever, What Took You So Long? and Take Over the World return to a city where they have long enjoyed a fiercely loyal following.

They will be joined by The Vaccines, whose infectious guitar hooks and festival favourites such as If You Wanna have made them one of Britain’s best-loved indie acts, and Wigan’s The Lathums, renowned for their soaring melodies and emotionally charged songwriting.

But beyond the big names, there’s plenty for music fans to discover, with the festival also showcasing some of the most exciting emerging talent on the UK guitar scene.

High on the list of ones to watch are The Slates, the Leeds band bringing their own energy to Stage 2, and Girl In The Year Above, who will perform on the Big Top Stage alongside The Guest List and Little Grandad.

Stage 2 will also feature Cowboy Hunters, Cherryholt, Saint Clair and Manchester post-punk outfit Ist Ist, offering festivalgoers the chance to catch rising talent up close between the headline performances.

Now entering its fifth year in Sheffield, Rock N Roll Circus combines major live music with spectacular circus entertainment, creating a distinctive addition to the city’s summer events calendar.

The Saturday announcement is the first wave of acts for the four-day August Bank Holiday festival, with three further headliners still to be revealed.

Rock N Roll Circus returns to Don Valley Bowl from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 August 2027, promising another landmark year for the award-winning event.
