Toronto duo cleopatrick have returned with their distortion-heavy new single GUTS, released today across all major streaming platforms. The track arrives as the band marks their tenth anniversary and prepares for their debut Australian headline tour this month, with shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Originally written between their boys EP and debut album BUMMERGUTS was rediscovered by frontman Luke Gruntz during a flight home from the band’s recent sold-out UK run, which included a headline date at London’s O2 Forum. “Tucked away in a folder of old cleo demos is where I found GUTS,” Gruntz says. “Restless and buckled into my seat, soaring over the Atlantic, I made a plan to finish the song and get it out before we hit the road again.”

The duo, formed in Cobourg, Ontario by lifelong friends Gruntz and drummer Ian Fraser, have spent the summer shaping old demo material into what they describe as a “timeline-bending new project.” For now, GUTS stands as a snapshot of their past and future colliding, a riff-heavy anthem that reaffirms their reputation for raw, fuzz-driven intensity.

cleopatrick’s Australian tour marks their first time bringing their explosive live show to audiences down under, promising a mix of fan favourites, unreleased cuts and the chaos they’ve become known for on international stages.
