Kid Cudi and Eminem have released a new single, “The Adventures of Moon Man & Slim Shady (feat. Eminem.” The just over four minute song is accompanied by an animated video, complete with lyrics. In the video, animated superheroes Cudi and Shady save the world from a variety of ills, and they offer their insights on current events in the United States and the emotional toll of the upheaval.
Both artists, working together for the first time, are in fine form on the song. In April, Kid Cudi and Travis Scott released the single, “THE SCOTTS.” Also that month, Cudi dropped the song “Leader Of The Deliquents.” In June, Cudi teased a KIDS SEE GHOSTS animated show, directed by Japanese artist Takashi Murakami.
In his verse, Eminem references George Floyd and COVID-19, and tells people to wear their masks. Em released his latest album, Music To Be Murdered By, in January.
