ANGEL delivers a new dub techno EP, “Sous l’eau”, releasing digitally on 24.06.2022 on Stuttgart-based label AMAS Studio. The EP unveils 4 dub techno tracks including a remix by Amas STUDIO and Estrato Aurora.

The original versions of “Particule I” and “Particule II” highlight a contemporary vision of dub techno, boasting some vocals and deep layers, while being aligned to the broader dub techno genre. AMAS Studio remix provides a singular vision of “Particule II”, with reverbs and harmonics that are more electronica-oriented, while the version of Spanish producer Estrato Aurora, working exclusively on analog instruments, unveils a deeper and more atmospheric touch.

Listen Here:

Verdict: Angel delivers two prime cuts of Deep rolling dub techno, aptly named Particule I & II as they are parts of the same journey, a journey that takes us over lush sonic landscapes as we are powered along (these virtual tracks) by warm driven beats. Quality production and mastering throughout this release, with all the elements shining through as the tracks build and progress. The Flow of the work is effortless, with each new layer introduced sitting perfectly in the composition, not just rhythmically but also in its sound design. The Particule II remixes are a welcome addition, not straying too far away from the originals while Amas hits on a more melodic take, Estrato adds a more industrial edge. Solid release on all sides.

Track List:

I. Particule I

II. Particule II

III. Particule II Amas Remix

IV. Particule II Estrato Aurora Remix
