Opening the night was Sydney’s own Rageflower and if you weren’t already a fan, you left one. All parts ethereal, gut-punch and bug-eyed sunnies, she slid between tender and absolutely ferocious with sublime skill and style.

Coming off the back of the release of their eighth studio album ‘Dreams On Toast’ and making their triumphant return to Australia, UK glam rock icons, The Darkness, hit the Enmore Theatre like the elastic on a spandex catsuit. Justin Hawkins, being a force of nature, climbed up onto the barrier and (before launching himself into the crowd) stopped. Took a moment. Signed someone’s record. Then proceeded to crowdsurf while checking his figurative watch. Brilliant.
