Live Gallery: Wisp Captivates With Dreamy Shoegaze at Liberty Hall – Eora Land, Sydney 12.02.26

Fresh off releasing her debut album and performing at Laneway Festival last week, 21-year-old Californian artist Wisp (Natalie Lu) entranced fans at Liberty Hall this week, proving why she’s become one of music’s most exciting voices.

Naarm’s Armlock opened the night. The four-piece band delivered tight instrumental work with lead vocalist Simon Lim and bassist Georgia Smith’s harmonies creating a warm atmosphere that eased the crowd into the evening.

When Wisp took the stage with ‘Pandora’, backlights cast her in silhouette, a perfect match for shoegaze’s hazy aesthetic. Lu’s guitar work is layered like watercolors bleeding together. Each song from her 2025 album ‘If Not Winter’ and 2024 EP built atmospheric walls of sound that felt massively immersive.
