News: Rising Danish Indie Folk Artist he is tall. Releases Heartfelt New Single ‘which way? which way?’ and Announces First UK Tour

Rising Danish indie folk musician he is tall. unveils his emotionally charged new single, ‘which way? which way?’, coinciding with the announcement of his first-ever UK tour.

Acoustic indie folk at its finest, ‘which way? which way?’ is both upbeat and poignant, drawing comparisons to Bon Iver. The track serves as a companion piece to last year’s ‘i miss you and america.’, completing the narrative of a friendship that ended on difficult terms. In a candid reflection, he is tall. admits he knows he is the reason the friendship fell apart, and that he ended it dirty.

“If I ever return to the United States, the first thing I’ll ask at the airport is: ‘which way to Albuquerque?'” says the artist, referring to the city where his mysterious friend relocated. “With this song, I’m trying to close the book on a transformative time across the Atlantic and move on.”

The single touches on recurring themes in he is tall.’s work: the complex dynamics between men, the struggle to communicate difficult emotions, and the unspoken language often missing in male friendships. Growing up near Aarhus, Denmark’s second-largest city, he witnessed these dynamics firsthand.

“Even though we’ve known each other for more than 20 years, it’s still very rare that we speak about parts of life that hurt,” he reflects. “In Danish, we would say we need a language for it. That fascinates me and frustrates me, and it’s something I explore in my music.”

he is tall. will bring ‘which way? which way?’ and his introspective songwriting to the UK for the first time this February, performing intimate shows across Stockport, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Leeds.

Despite his name, he is tall. (real name Troels Thorkild Sørensen) is actually not that tall—but on stage with his guitar, he grows. His confessional songs blend American indie folk storytelling with Northern European introspection, exploring masculinity, friendship, and the spaces where words fail. Based near Aarhus, he has carved out a distinctive voice in the European indie scene, earning comparisons to Jeff Buckley and supporting acclaimed artists including Tyler Childers, The Divine Comedy, Lera Lynn, and Brandy Clark.

Drawing inspiration from indie luminaries like Sufjan Stevens, Elliott Smith, Band of Horses, The xx, and Bon Iver, he is tall. crafts intimate music that bridges continents and emotions. Following the release of his second EP, ‘is there an encore?’ in Autumn 2025, he embarked on a European tour, performing in Berlin, Prague, Zurich, and beyond. His new single continues this exciting trajectory for 2026, with collaborations alongside renowned producers Markus Artved (Khalid, Lukas Graham) and Alexander Grandjean.

‘which way, which way?’ is out now, catch the final date of he is tall.’s Uk run tomorrow in Leeds.
