Peach PRC has released ‘Distant Lands’, the first of four new singles arriving across the remainder of 2026 and forming Porcelain Kiln, an extension of her debut album Porcelain.
The new track finds Peach PRC looking beyond the candy-coloured surfaces often associated with her pop and towards something more introspective. ‘Distant Lands’ explores altered states of consciousness and the search for experiences beyond everyday reality, only to arrive at the idea that ordinary consciousness might be strange enough already.
“Distant Lands is an altered state of mind,” she explains. “We go there in dreams, in meditation, trance and medicine work. I used to desperately seek altered states of consciousness hoping to find something greater than what I’ve already been given and already know. Now I’ve come to realise that my raw consciousness here on earth is the most psychedelic experience I can have.”
The song also opens the door to Porcelain Kiln. Rather than positioning the four tracks as an entirely separate project, Peach describes them as pieces remaining from the making of Porcelain.
“Porcelain Kiln is a collection of songs left at the bottom of the kiln in the alchemy that was making Porcelain,” she says. “Fragments and ornamental stories that were too precious to waste.”
Fans in Melbourne will get to hear those fragments before everyone else. Peach PRC will perform all four new songs at an intimate Vodafone Music show at Glasshaus on August 29, ahead of the remaining singles being officially released. Double passes to the one-off event are being offered through a fan giveaway opening today. Enter HERE.
The new material follows a strong start for Porcelain, which debuted at number four on the ARIA Albums Chart and topped the Australian Albums Chart. Peach PRC has now accumulated more than 230 million global audio streams, while the debut album itself has passed 13 million.
There’s another Australian appearance waiting at the other end of the year. On December 3, Peach PRC will co-headline an open-air show with The Veronicas at Tumbalong Park in Sydney, bringing together two distinctly different generations of Australian pop.
For now, though, ‘Distant Lands’ begins the next little chapter. Porcelain may already be out of the kiln, but Peach PRC clearly found a few pieces at the bottom worth keeping.
