Dead Pony ignited their UK tour with a superb opening night at The Leadmill in Sheffield, setting a blistering pace for their eight-show run that ends in Glasgow on December 13th. Known for their excellent live shows, the Scottish alt-rockers didn’t disappoint, delivering a 15-song set that showcased their evolving sound, anchored by their debut album Ignore This, released earlier this year.

Support was provided by Soapbox and Gallus, with both bands performing high-energy sets that went down well with the Leadmill crowd.

Dead Pony’s set began with the title track, “Ignore This,” launching the crowd into a frenzy. The show included fan favourites and new material featuring the latest single, Everything Burns, blending dark, heavy guitar tones with their signature punk energy. The anthemic Rainbows provided a powerful mid-set highlight, with its uplifting message resonating throughout the packed venue.

Frontwoman Anna Shields exuded charisma, her commanding vocals matched by Blair Crichton’s searing guitar riffs. The rhythm section—Liam Adams on bass and Euan Lyons on drums—drove the energy forward, particularly during tracks like “MK Nothing” and “Cobra,” where the crowd erupted into mosh pits.

The band wrapped up with a four-song encore, joined by surprise special guests, leaving the crowd buzzing. For those attending future shows, expect the unexpected.

This high-energy performance marks a significant milestone for Dead Pony, confirming their place as one of the UK’s most exciting rising rock acts. With most tour dates already sold out, this is a band you don’t want to miss.
