Alexanders Live in Chester hosted Legends of Motown UK on Saturday for a two-hour performance filled with classic soul and Motown hits. This was a sold-out show, and it’s easy to see why.
Featuring two superb lead vocalists Sarah Bird and Matt Hoy and an equally impressive Lauren Bird on percussion and vocals, this seven-piece band delivered a powerful performance with stellar musicianship and contagious energy.
Taking the audience on a nostalgic journey with accurate renditions of timeless Motown hits, from Stevie Wonder to the Supremes, from The Four Tops to Gladys Night and many more. The Chester crowd danced and sang along from the first song to the last.
