Ahead of his forthcoming solo album Momentary Masters, sometime Stroke Albert Hammond Jr is back with a new song taken from that very record, Losing Touch. Its his third solo album, but first since 2008’s ¿Cómo Te Llama?, and it drops on 31st July via Vagrant/BMG.
You’ll recognise that guitar sound at the beginning, less so the tumbling drums that interrupt things, until it breaks into something Chrissy Hynde might have written, or his ‘other’ band at the very least. Driving indie rock, soaring chorus’s, choppy guitars and this warm bassline all feature as Hammond brings his A game in on the melody front.

He’s released details of his (extensive) North American tour, kicking off off September 9th in Pittsburgh, all the way through till November 7th in Philadelphia, PA. Tickets to all non-festival shows are on sale now. See below for a complete list of dates.
